Youth group was awesome

Last year, youth group was a little, er, not-so-good. But this year looks promising. There weren't many people, but there were enough people to call it a group. Jeff and Stephen, the advisors, were there. It turns out that Jeff will be able to come to some, but not all of the meetings, which is cool, because I thought he was going to stop advising completely this year. Laura was there - she's cool. I like her. Elyssa was there too, but she was helping out with the potluck, so she didn't come up to the loft 'til later. Micaela came late. She was one of the high-strung kids last year, but she's a cool girl deep down. We get along pretty well. Stone (annoying, Hyperactivity Boy, one of the younger folks, but he can be an okay kid) and Riley (a pretty cool guy, also one of the younger folks) didn't come, and Sela (the often controlling girl) and Emma (high-strung girl, but generally a good person) weren't there either. I have a headache, but it's an okay headache. I used to get annoying headaches after youth group meetings where people were loud and silly, but this is a good headache. Sort of. It's starting to bother me now. Maybe the weather change is contributing to it. My left ear is aching, too. Ack.

So I'm listening to Q107 online. Every Wednesday, the evening DJ, Alex, has Jeff Woods, the host of The Legends of Classic Rock, on the evening show. Sometimes they have a poll over the phone and through the website. Because of the rain in southern Ontario, they're playing songs that mention rain, and songs that are dark-and-stormy sounding. Alex had a bad accident over the summer, and if he had died, I would've been very upset. I like Alex. Thank goodness he's okay now.

I love classic rock.

I hope youth group is better this year.
