"I'm happy, hope you're happy, too..."

Yes, I'm on a David Bowie kick. But I truly am happy. Sort of.

I'm happy because Grandma's back at the hospital she was in before. I'm also happy that I got to see my sister, and that we had Indian food for dinner the night before last, and that we watch An Evening with Kevin Smith. Because he's awesome and Jason Mewes is gorgeous.

However, Grandpa was being an ass the day before last.

I've been thinking about getting a job. Only problem is, where? I'm thinking the Coles in the mall, or the Wal-Mart near my house. Maybe the Tim Horton's by my house, which is only about a ten to fifteen minute walk.

That, and I feel like making a musical instrument. Specifically, a drum. I think I got that idea from watching a 'visit Ireland' ad on TV, and in one of those ads there's a guy beating a small drum with a kind of double-ended stick. I'm probably making no sense right now :p

Also, I got to hear 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' by U2 in church this morning, which made it worth going to church. I think I'll sign up for one of the upcoming Music Sundays. I don't know what I'll sing, though. Or maybe I'll make a drum like the one in the 'visit Ireland' commercial and just beat the drum.

Maybe the idea of making a drum came from someone in church playing these drums this morning...

Anyways, the two DVDs, My Neighbor Totoro and the third InuYasha movie, are at the library for me to pick up on Tuesday. Sweet. I also have a book on the second World War to pick up, and French Girl Knits is in transit. Sweet :)

So yeah. I want to make a drum.

A little less gross-feeling today...

I'm still stuffed up and groggy, but last night I was pretty alert and stayed up late enough to watch U2 on Letterman. They kicked ass :)

So today is my brother's birthday. He's supposed to come over after lunch. I didn't get him anything, and I'll probably be hiding in my room as much as possible. And I don't feel that awful about not getting him something - after all, he re-gifted an anime DVD to me, which I think I can only play on my computer, I can't figure out how to put it on my hard drive, and it's one whole season of Naruto with no, like, episode selection or anything, so I'm not gonna sit through several hours of Naruto to figure out where I left off. I'll just borrow the box sets from the library.

I wound up not going to youth group last night, as I had predicted. I was probably still contagious, and neither Jeff nor Stephen want us to come to youth group sick, because they can't get sick.

Anyways. I was going to give Nathan two pennies for his birthday, but Mom told me not to, because it's 'just nasty'. Bleh. I'll just hide in my room, reading Blood and Chocolate and listening to either David Bowie or Gavin Rossdale. And I have an excuse - I'm sick! ;)
