Okay, so they're junebugs

Mom says they're junebugs, not cicadas, because cicadas only come every 7 years or something. Whatever, mom.

The door is installed and looks very nice. Smiles loves looking out the window.

I think the power supply is fading away on my computer, but my dad thinks I'm just not pushing the power button all the way in. How he managed to start my computer this morning is beyond me, because I tried and tried and it wouldn't start. Ah well. I still think the power supply is going. After all, the computer is six or seven years old, I think.

So, The Vampire Diaries was good last night. I really liked it. And Big Brother was fab, too, mainly because JORDAN kicked Natalie's ASS in the second part of the three-part Head of Household competition, which means Jordan and Kevin will compete in part three! I really don't like Natalie. She's a troublemaker, and she clung to Jesse like the plague to survive in the game (the plague? is that a good description? ;P).

My cowl is coming along nicely. I might have it done by Monday or Tuesday!

ETA: oh yeah. When I started my cowl, I decided to use the skein of green Berroco Pure Merino Heather that I got at the tent sale instead, because it's softer. The teal mystery yarn is kinda scratchy.

It's humid.

So, youth group was fun last night. We're supposed to participate in the service the weekend after labour day, but I'm not sure if I'll be there. Mom said something about going to see my sister soon, but I'm not sure if and when that's happening.

I watched a concert on HDNet today. A Heart concert. And guess what??? THERE'S GONNA BE A MEATLOAF CONCERT ON SUNDAY. And I think True Blood is going to be a repeat, so my TV viewing won't be interrupted by that (I don't watch it, but my mom does).

I screwed up my nail polish, though. It's not that bad, but it annoys me. But, it is hot pink nail polish. heck yes.

Big Brother's on tonight! And it's eviction night!

Idolmania!

So I watched Canadian Idol tonight. Although I'm pissed that Mark Day got kicked off (I also feel bad for not voting), I still enjoyed tonight's episode. Even though the coaches were Simple Plan, who are not my cup of tea. I thought Bryan Adams was supposed to coach them this week! Maybe it's next week. I tried voting, but I kept getting a busy signal. I'll try again in a bit.

I was actually a bit nervous about phoning in, as I've never done that before, and I'm not keen on using the phone. That's why I never call any of my friends - I feel more comfortable e-mailing them or talking to them on Windows Live Messenger.

I moved my kerchief scarf onto a circular needle, because I've decided to make it into a shawl-of-sorts. Should be fun. I'm itching to make a horizontal scarf, even though my size 9 circular needle is holding a piece of my vest. I'll probably work on the last huge piece tomorrow. I read the last bit of the pattern, and the seaming is a three-needle bind-off, so I'm really happy about that. I love three-needle bind-off! I haven't worked on the baby cardigan in a while, because I've been putting off starting the cuffs (it's knit in one piece). I worked on Justin's scarf while watching Big Brother and not knowing which houseguests are the good guys/girls and the bad guys/girls. I'm getting bored with Big Brother.

America's Got Talent is on tomorrow! Yay!
