My computer sounds like an insect.

It has started rattling when it boots up. I don't know if this is normal or not, but eh, it's an old computer. That, and it was built for Dan (my sister's boyfriend) by a friend of his.

Valentine's Day hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. I got to sing 'All You Need is Love' in church - it wasn't a hymn, but it was the closing music, and everyone was encouraged to sing. At the end of the service, the congregation gathered together for a photo for this thing called the Standing on the Side of Love campaign that the UU churches are doing. And I wore my spiral scarf in the photo :D

I also ate chocolate (my parents bought these huge Toblerone bars the other day), listened to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' and the J. Geils Band's 'Love Stinks', and read a bit of Blood and Chocolate while listening to Bruce Springsteen's The Ghost of Tom Joad, which I'm borrowing from the library. It's a really good album. It's kinda folksy-sounding; not as upbeat as most of his albums, but still pretty great. I reserved Nebraska from the library, and I'm curious to hear what that album sounds like. I'm going to reserve The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle and Tunnel of Love afterwards, when I don't have a lot of CDs out.

So it was actually the keyboard's fault, not the USBs!!!

I'm back at my own computer again, using the keyboard from the old HP. The first keyboard we had for the HP is probably gone - this one was the second for the HP. I think Dad got this one for the HP because the one that we first used was losing the paint off it's keys from being used so much. The only downsides to this keyboard are:

1. The keys are kinda clunky. I think it might be because it hasn't been used it a couple of months. Either that or it's because it's old.

2. It's so dirty that it looks like it's been thrown up on.

3. It smells like metal, which is kinda gross.

Hopefully Dad'll let me get a new keyboard, but I'm happy with this one for now. Sure, the keys are loud and clunky, but it's an ergonomic keyboard, which I'm used to. I'm not used to Dad's keyboard, because it's a standard rectangle. I'm also a bit used to having 'forward' and 'back' buttons, like the keyboard I was using before. Still, at least it works. That's what matters.

I got my Valentine's swap package yesterday afternoon!!! I don't have pictures yet, unfortunately. I got some Lindt peanut butter chocolates, two Peeps hearts, a picture of a giraffe and a lovely card. It makes my card look kindergarten-like :p I hope my swap partner loves her card and candy (and another small surprise!) when she recieves it.

So Mom and Dad got chocolates from Shoppers Drug Mart today - some for us, some for Grandma. They went to visit her last night (and didn't tell me where they were going - I thought they had gone out for dinner. Mom apologised, though), and by the sound of it, she ate a lot for dinner. I'm still recovering from my sore throat, so I didn't go yesterday. Mom and Dad left to go visit her and, once again, I'm staying home. My throat's better now, but it's still a bit sore - more of a dry throat now, though. Plus, I didn't have much clean clothes. I might be okay to visit tomorrow, though.

I started a Calorimetry yesterday afternoon, before my swap package came. It's easier than I thought. I'm using some Patons Decor in the 'Woodbine Ombre' colourway - cream, brown and grey. It's looking quite pretty.

I started watching The Sarah Jane Adventures last night (I'm borrowing it from the library), which is pretty cool. It's a spin-off of Doctor Who, but it's not as gritty as Torchwood. Sarah Jane is aimed at kids, and it's shown on CBBC in Britain and BBC Kids here.

I still have to watch Labyrinth, actually. I'm borrowing that from the library, too.

And Hair is in transit. Or it was, when I checked last night. It might be in now for me to pick up.
