Oh, wait, I forgot....

I'm really enjoying reading The Complete Idiot's Guide to World Mythology. I'm on African primal myths now, including a god that vomited up the sun - and I think the first man. I think.

Also, the other day (yesterday, I think), I was flipping through the index and came across the word 'Sefiroth'. So I looked it up in the book, and, according to one of the notes, there are ten holy Sefiroths and some unholy Sefiroths, too. I'm not sure if there are ten of the unholy Sefiroths or not - I can't remember.

Now, for anyone who doesn't know why I'm bringing up holy and unholy Sefiroths (or anyone who hasn't played Final Fantasy VII), allow me to explain.

Sephiroth is the villain of Final Fantasy VII. I have this weird habit of looking up the names of the Summons in a dictionary or encyclopedia to find out their meanings, so when I saw 'Sefiroth', I got excited. So far, I know for certain that Shiva is a Hindu god of destruction (although, in the Final Fantasy games, Shiva is portrayed as a female ice being), and I think Quezacotl (or Quetzacotl, according to either the encyclopedia or the dictionary) is a Mexican god. I'm still not entirely sure of the origin of Ifrit, though. Leviathan, I believe, is a being in the Bible.

I have far too much time on my hands :p

Anyways, I've been playing Final Fantasy VIII more often (this is the game after the one with Sephiroth, by the way), and I've gotten to disc 2 - or, I did, until I got my rear end handed to me by a robot!!! Anyways, I saved before the whole robot-kicking-my-ass business, so I'm good. I think I was better prepared than I was on my old file - but, I think I should buy some potions before I proceed to the bit where there's a chance of me fighting a robot again. Damn, those robots can pack a punch.

Oh yeah - and I have to remember to Junction Zell's Guardian Force before I even think about walking out of that cell.
