I FOUND IT!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but a while ago I said on this blog that I had this song in my head, but didn't know the title, artist, or even the lyrics. I am happy to say that I finally found it!

So here's how it happened. I turned my radio on last night/early this morning and Nights with Alice Cooper was on, and I heard the last two or three seconds of a song that sounded quite a bit like this mystery song. So I went upstairs and looked at the clock, then came back down and wrote down what time it was so that I could check Q107's past songs list in the morning.

And then I checked the past songs list. Even if I forgot the time, I knew that it was the song that was on before a live version of 'Whole Lotta Rosie' by AC/DC, so that was good to know. I scrolled down and found the song name and artist name and looked it up on YouTube, and... well, needless to say, I was excited when I found it was the right song!

Here it is. It's called 'The Stroke' by Billy Squier.



According to Wikipedia, it's about the music industry using musicians; and the drum was accidentally played backwards during recording, but they actually liked the sound better than it being played forward, so they kept it that way.

So after everyone was not so grumpy, we watched Julie & Julia. I really liked it. I missed a chunk of it, though, because Mom asked me to go get the vanilla ice cream out of the freezer because she made a jam and shortcake square. It was really yummy.
